Indus University holds First Convocation
“India needs a skilled generation that can comprehend the changing scenario and address the issues of sustainable development” says ISRO Chairman, Padmashri A.S. Kirankumar in his address at the First Convocation of Indus University held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Indus Campus, Ahmedabad. Padmashri A.S. Kirankumar was the Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion.
In the first convocation 256 graduating students, of M.Tech. MBA, MCA, M.Sc.IT, and B.Sc. (AM) courses who passed out in years 2014 and 2015, received the degrees. Fourteen Gold medals were awarded by the Chief Guest. In addition, special awards; Bhanwarlal Bhandari Memorial Award, Bhagwan Swaroop Sharma Memorial Award and Indubala Bhandari Award, for scholastic performances were also given away to 6 students of various institutes of the University.
Shri A.S. Kirankumar delivered the convocation address and Dr.Nagesh Bhandari, President, Indus University delivered the welcome address while Dr. S.B. Sharma, Executive President, Indus University delivered the concluding speech.
Elation and unbound joy marked the occasion wherein the dreams of young graduates and their parents bore reality through the conferment of prestigious titles.
